Here is a short video on the policy of appeasement.  Watch the short video and post your thoughts on the comments section.  What are your reactions to the policy of appeasement. Based on the video, what was the MOOD of Britain upon Chamberlain’s return from Munich?

Based on the reading, “The Purges Under Stalin”, imagine that you have been arrested and imprisoned by the NKVD for unknown reasons. You have been given the opportunity to write ONE letter. Write a letter to a loved one and explain what you are going through. Click on the “comments” link at the bottom of this post to type your letter.

I hope you all enjoyed your break and are all ready for a new semester.  Remember, you all begin the semester with an “A”.  What you do from here on out will determine whether you keep that “A”.  I have already planned the first two weeks of class and the assignments you will have are already listed under the UNIT 7 ASSIGNMENTS page.  If you want to keep current on the notebook.  Take some time this week to make sure you have it up to date before you fall behind.  Also, I have posted some videos below to help you understand the topics we are going over the first two weeks.  Take some time to review them if you are having trouble understanding the topics in class.

Imagine that you are a young inventor living in the year 1830.  Write a “Journal Entry” for the year 1830.  In your journal, discuss some of the inventions you have seen lately or even invented yourself.  Explain how these inventions are changing life and what impact they might have in the future.

For those that missed the video, here is what we watched in class.  It is divided into 3 videos.  Use these videos to take notes on page 52 on the causes of the French Revolution.
